Memorandum of Cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior
On 14 May 2020 we have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior, which will be the basis of our cooperation during the implementation of the project ,,My lawyer – free and professional legal aid for an effective access to rights for migrants”.
The project is supported by the European Commission through the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro within EIDHR 2018- Country based support scheme.
The aim of the project is to contribute to the improvement of migration management policies in Montenegro, improvement of status of foreigners seeking or granted international protection and returnees under readmission agreements through free legal aid and capacity building, networking and cooperation among institutional and civil society actors at local and national level.
In addition to the specific project, the MoU signed with the MoI envisages cooperation in providing legal aid to persons in resolving the legal status in Montenegro, as well as in other projects aimed at supporting these categories of persons.
